Create an opportunity for ourselves to execute ideas through internal projects and demonstrate our capabilities in lighting design, experiential events and live broadcast multi-camera production.
In late 2017 we invited a select audience to Campfire Session 002 – a live music session with London-based songwriter and producer, Richard Jahn.
Inspired by the themes of fluidity, form, colour and cymatics we hosted a live, reactive installation in collaboration with Richard Jahn’s performance.
Visualising vibrations of sound through lighting, large-format LED video walls and sound-reactive milk (yes, milk) we aimed to represent the multi-instrumentalist talents of Richard if his sound could be seen.
It took us 3 days to transform the space for Richard’s performance. We constructed truss, built LED walls, prepared lighting design, motion graphics, lasers and arranged camera placements for the live stream.
Our fascination with live-streaming took a new turn during Session 002 – not only stream the performance to an online audience, we also streamed a live-feed of tray of milk from our studio (which was placed atop a speaker, vibrating in time with live music) directly to LED panel walls surrounding the performance, adding to the fully immersive experience.
Ultimately, the aim was to create something quite unique and memorable as well as test our skills as a team to the next level.
